About
Eleven Paws Photography is a San Diego dog photography studio specializing in portraits of dogs and their people. Creating artwork for your heart and for your home.
Inspired by my own trio, Harvey, Murphy, and Lemon, I opened my first studio and built a space where pets could feel comfortable, understood, and free to be themselves. In 2025, I brought that vision to San Diego, creating a calm, private studio designed for stress-free, joyful sessions for pets of all ages and personalities.
Today, my work is grounded in intention, patience, and the belief that every pet deserves to be celebrated through meaningful, lasting artwork. I’m honored to capture your pet’s story and the love that fills your home.
Dog mom, studio Owner, & friend.
Every session at Eleven Paws is built around your dog’s comfort and personality. The studio is quiet, private, and designed to help your dog settle in, relax, and just be themselves.
I guide everything gently so nothing feels rushed or overwhelming. Your dog gets the time and space they need, and from that, we create something real.
My work is about holding onto what matters.
Your dog isn’t just a pet. They’re part of your everyday life, your routines, your comfort, your joy. They deserve to be remembered that way.
I believe in slowing down, letting dogs be themselves, and creating something real. Not perfect. Not forced. Just honest.
Something you can live with, see every day, and never take for granted.
My Philosophy
They’re my routine, my happy place, my sense of calm, my joy.
And I know your dog is that for you, too.
This work is personal. It’s rooted in patience, intention, and the belief that your dog deserves to be remembered in a way that feels real. I’m here to help you hold onto that.
To capture your dog, your connection, and the life you share together in a way that lasts.
I’ll guide you through everything so it feels easy and comfortable from the start. Your dog doesn’t need to be perfect. They don’t need to “behave.” They just get to be who they are. We take breaks when we need to. We move at their pace. We let them explore, sniff, be silly, and have fun. And through all of that, we create something real. Something you’ll see every day and never take for granted.
I am so happy that you found me. I can't wait to meet you and your dog.
Love + Paws,
Mekinsey
What’s included in the Studio Session Fee?
The $200 session fee reserves your time in the studio and includes up to 60 minutes of private, one-on-one studio time, a clean white backdrop, and full guidance throughout your session.
Everything is designed to feel calm, easy, and centered around your dog so we can create meaningful portraits together.
After your session, we'll meet for your reveal appointment, where you’ll see your images for the first time and choose your favorites.
Are digital images or prints included?
Artwork and digital images are not included in the session fee.
Your session is the first step. Afterward, you’ll see your portraits during your reveal appointment and choose your favorite images and how you’d like to enjoy them in your home.
Each piece of artwork includes a matching social-sharing digital file, so you can have your images both in your space and online.
How many PETS or people can be included?
Sessions include up to two dogs from the same household.
Additional dogs can be included for $50 each, with a maximum of four dogs per session.
Up to four people may join as well. If you have a larger group, just reach out ahead of time and we’ll talk through what feels comfortable in the space.
What kind of artwork can I order after my session?
Once your portraits are ready, you’ll choose from a curated selection of fine art prints, custom-framed wall art, albums, and other pieces designed for your home.
Everything is created with intention so your photos don’t just live on your phone, but become something you see and enjoy every day.
How much do clients typically invest in artwork?
Most clients fall in love with a handful of images, often around 5 to 15+, and invest between $450 and $1,800 on custom artwork.
Artwork is selected after your session during your reveal appointment, where you’ll see your portraits and choose what you love. Each piece includes a matching social-sharing digital file.

My Photography process
Step 01
step 02
step 03
step 04
We start with a conversation about your dog — their personality, quirks, and what helps them feel comfortable. We’ll also talk through what you’re hoping to create and where your artwork will live in your home.
Let’s connect and plan your session
As a San Diego dog photographer, each session is built around connection. Whether you are looking for dog portraits, photos with your dog, or a full dog and owner session, the goal is to create images that feel natural and meaningful. Dog photography sessions are designed to be relaxed, guided, and tailored to your dog’s comfort level from start to finish.
